Robert Allen Law founding partner Bob Allen was a featured speaker at PG Legal’s annual “Yachting and the Law” business breakfast held last month in Monaco and on a panel at the International Yacht Brokers Association’s Yacht Sales and the Law Seminar this week in Fort Lauderdale.
Mr. Allen spoke about the merits of the new IYBA and MYBA purchase and sale agreements at the breakfast, held at the Monaco Yacht Club on the first day of the Monaco Yacht Show. The event also featured speakers from Italy, the UK, Malta and Spain and included debate from industry leaders on the latest and hottest issues in yachting.
At the yacht brokers seminar, Mr. Allen participated in a panel on best practices for yacht brokers. More than 200 yacht brokers and yachting industry professionals attended the seminar, which focuses on professional and career development by sharing the latest sales and legal trends in the yacht brokerage industry.
Earlier in September, Robert Allen Law attorneys Umberto Bonavita and and Chris Anderson were featured speakers at the first annual International Yacht Brokers Association Yacht Sales and the Law Seminar in September in Monaco.
Bonavita spoke about Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Anderson spoke about the changes to the IYBA listing and purchase and sales agreements. Bonavita also participated in a panel on best practices in yacht brokerage, and Anderson participated in a panel on maritime liens and vessel arrests.
The seminar, held at Stars N Bars, focuses on professional and career development by sharing the latest sales and legal trends in the yacht brokerage industry. Robert Allen Law was the only firm to have two attorneys featured in the seminar. The seminar took place just days before the Monaco Yacht Show.
