Robert Allen Law yacht lawyer Umberto Bonavita attended the IYBA East Coast Yacht Sales Summit, held at the Westin Fort Lauderdale, Florida, June 8, 2023.

The one-day event was attended by yacht brokers, builders, financial specialists, yacht lenders, insurance providers and attorneys with extensive experience in yacht transactions. Umberto Bonavita moderated the panel on Conflict Management / Dispute Resolution featuring Jo Stanley or Stanley Legal Service, Jason Dunbar, Luke Brown Yachts and Rob Newton, International Yacht Collection (IYC). Other panels covered topics such as insurance updates, client loyalty, state of the industry and the future of yachting. Keynote speaker was Andrew Busch, former 1st Chief Market Intelligence Officer for the US government and economic futurist at Andrewbusch.com.

The summit provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, analyze current trends in the industry, provide continuing education, and learn first-hand where the yachting industry stands post-pandemic navigating the challenging economic market.
